Koolada (menthyl methyl lactate) is used specifically to give that "cold" feeling at the back of the mouth. Use this to get that cool feeling in recipes like icecream.
It does not really have a 'taste', but it can be used in conjunction with menthol to boost that cool fresh feeling without making the menthol taste too strong.
