While Kanthal remains the No.1 coil build material in general, Nichrome has it's place also, mainly with those dealing with sub ohm coils and looking to blow massive amounts of vapour.
It has lower resistance per length (similar gauge wire) when compared to kanthal, this means that it (a coil of roughly the same size and gauge as Kanthal will have a much lower resistance, but around the same mass) will heat up noticeably faster and is a preferred alternative to kanthal wire for this reason - ie: advanced users looking to blow clouds of vapour!
YMMV and will depend on your own ability to learn how to build coils and to put this into practice with all of the other factors involved
Advanced serious DIY only - Naked Vapour provides no additional product support at this level - please consider using our forum at www.kiwivapers.com for peer to peer support/advice if required.
Resistance is affected by a few variables - diameter, length and temperature
You will find associated tools and equipment to the right of this listing to help build and measure your coils.
Choose your Gauge from the drop down box upper right.
